The Ultimate Coffee Date #3

on June 7, 2014

If we were having coffee this morning . . .

–          I’d tell you that an 8 hour drive with an almost 3 year old should count as a workout for the week! I’m not sure how many Activity Points it would be, but it should be a lot! Seriously, O is great (and did really well) but that was a long boring drive with the constant background hum of Disney Junior. Thank goodness for Excedrin!

–          We just booked our second Disney cruise, so I’m going to be honest and say I’d probably talk about it even more than you’d ever want to hear. Seriously, I’d recommend a Disney cruise for anybody unless you’re a rabidly anti-Disney family. It was a great experience the first time around and this time we’re looking forward to having more time, seeing a different ship and hopefully being a little less stressed because O is an experienced traveler now (and we’re more experienced traveling with him!).

Disney Dream 2013

–          I’d tell you how proud I am of myself for chatting with other runners at Dunkin’ Donuts post-race last week! There was a group of people, who all looked like much more typical runners than I do, chatting at Dunkin’ Donuts while we were there getting milk and a donut to share as a family (since when are we a family that shares a single donut?). When they stood up to leave, I noticed one guy’s race shirt from the previous year and commented on how much more I liked that one than this year’s and we ended up having a nice little chat about the race and how many year’s he’d done it, Oliver’s experience, etc.  We’re all runners and we’re a pretty friendly community, I just have to remind myself of that and get over the fear of speaking up!

–          I’d compliment your hair and ask about where you get it done and how you manage it. I constantly feel like other women have a better handle on their hair than I do, but I suspect that’s partially because I am completely incapable of basic hair maintenance things like using a blow dryer! I could say I’m too busy to style my hair, but the truth is I’m just lazy!

  3. Travelling with a toddler is exhausting. The cruise sounds great, I can’t wait to do one, especially a Disney one.

  4. Congrats on booking a Disney cruise!! Which one are y’all going on? I can’t wait to hear more details! :0)

    • 7 day on the Magic – I can’t remember if it is Eastern or Western Caribbean? Key West and Cozumel were two of the stops. We’re very excited!
